New York, NY – September 26, 2012 – On Tuesday October 9, 2012, Radio and Television personalities Sway Calloway, Clinton Spark, along with HOT 97’s, DJ Funkmaster Flex, world renowned DJ, Kid Capri and Marley Marl will be on hand at the Yotel New York in Times Square for the press conference to announce the nominees and categories for the “Global Spin Awards,” the most anticipated award show of the year, acknowledging the masters of the mix.

The Global Spin Awards, produced by Bad Boy Records/Power Moves Inc. executive, Shawn Prez, will be the first award show of its kind to give recognition to Disc Jockeys globally, honoring those who bring great music into the lives and homes of many. The award show is supported by DJ coalitions, music industry executives, entertainment industry professionals and DJs around the world.

The “Global Spin Awards” voting committee the “DJ Bureau” is comprised of the most influential music industry tastemakers, executives and pop culture enthusiast. The DJ bureau has tallied up and the nominees in each selected category have been submitted. Sway Calloway, DJ Funkmaster Flex, Clinton Sparks, Kid Capri, Marley Marl and Shawn Prez will speak at a press conference in NYC about the importance of the GSA’s, sharing more details and asking for everyone’s total support.
